Origin Technical Services, Inc. (OTS) is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Katmai Government Services, LLC (KGS), under which KGS will acquire all of the common stock and assets of OTS. OTS will continue to operate under our current name and structure but as an independent subsidiary of KGS.
KGS is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Ouzinkie Native Corporation (ONC). ONC is headquartered in Ouzinkie, Alaska on Spruce Island, which is near Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska. KGS was created by ONC to hold and manage its interests in companies and joint ventures, which contract with the US Federal Government.
The acquisition will provide KGS with crucial A/E/C support for a variety of current federal government contracts, in Alaska, and abroad. It will also allow the KGS/ONC family to pursue opportunities in non-Federal areas, and other new business lines. OTS will be better positioned to pursue larger and more complex projects, and to expand engineering disciplines and operations to meet the new challenges on the horizon. This expansion is currently underway; we have recently added one new Project Manager and are actively in the process of adding Architectural, Civil Engineering, and Survey staff. We are excited to be able to offer our clients – both new and existing- the new people, skills, and talents that this growth will create.
Company consolidation will be a gradual process with no disruption to our services or operations. OTS will continue to operate as a principal entity where our existing clients are concerned. There will be no changes to our insurance policies or other conditions to which OTS is subject under the terms of our existing contracts.
